Kaipipi and Pukaweka in Karitane

Brendan Holt – Recently I qualified as a Maritime NZ surveyor and I’m passionate about bringing my experience and practical knowledge into the industry. I was born and raised on Stewart Island, my father Elvin was a boat builder there so the sea life is in my blood. I started working in boats after school as a 5 year old! At 15 years old I took on an apprenticeship at Miller and Tunnage in Carey’s Bay where I have worked consistently for almost 35 years. I also worked many seasons on the South Cape coding and crayfishing. I’m a qualified commercial skipper and bring a down to earth practical approach to my profession. I understand what it is to live and work on vessels and the demands required of them.

Rowan Holt – is the Management side of everything, she takes all the bookings and is the point of contact for Operators and Maritime NZ. Rowan assists in many of the Safety and Navigation inspections. Although her background is Fine Art and Education – she’s racked up significant commercial sea time over the years and has a Coastal Skippers Ticket.

Eva Stoddart – is our admin hero and keeps all our database, spelling and grammar in tip top condition. She keeps the flow of our work up to speed so the paperwork is always done on time.
